According to Reimer & Endisch, the loco spent its working life after rebuilding starting on 22 June 1966 at Bw Brandeburg alternating with Bw Stendal before being placed in store in 1986.

52 8137-3 was one of a line of BR50s and 52s stored
along the roadside at the rear of Bw Stassfurt in 1995.
Rebuilt from 52 5803 in 65 (Schichau probably of 1944)

52 8137-3 seemed not to have moved by September 2003 when it was still
alongside the road at the rear of Bw Stassfurt during the Dampfest.
